SHEBOYGAN — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced Highway 57 from the Ozaukee/Sheboygan County line to the Manitowoc/Sheboygan County line will be completely open through the Labor Day holiday.
WisDOT Northeast Region Director Will Dorsey said, “We were able to modify our construction schedule to accommodate traffic associated with both the Labor Day holiday and the Sheboygan County Fair.”
The road between Highway 23 and Highway 32 is opening on August 30. The stretch from Highway 23 to Highway 144 will now close on Tuesday, September 4.
The 24-mile project includes culvert replacement, pavement repair, bridge rehabilitation and new left turn lanes at Highway 57 and County C.
The cost is estimated at $1.6 million. It is scheduled to be completed in late October.
