SHEBOYGAN — Among other things, the new year will bring changes and enriched content to The Sheboygan Daily website.

For more than six months, The Sheboygan Daily has been committed to being Sheboygan’s only 24 hour news source, focusing on Sheboygan County news. One of the biggest challenges these days is keeping up with all the ways our readers expect to have news and information delivered.

There’s SheboyganDaily.com, of course, but also smart phones and digital tablets — with browsers, text, email and apps. We deliver news and interact with readers on Facebook and Twitter. Readers can also access our website on their mobile devices by visiting sheboygan.im.

The centerpiece of all our digital efforts is SheboyganDaily.com, which already attracts tens of thousands of readers each month. As a website, we are not only a news source but also a place for social interaction. We’ve already made some changes to make your experience better.

We’ll be increasing the amount of news on the website and offer more fresh stories throughout the day. We’ll be producing videos covering local news as well as featuring local businesses, events and entertainment. Due to popular demand, The Sheboygan Daily will produce even more photo galleries throughout the week, covering news to events.

Job of the Day

Beginning January 1, we’ll be featuring a job opportunity everyday. This new feature can be found at sheboygandaily.com/jobs.

Teacher of the Month

Also beginning in January is our Teacher of the Month feature. We are looking for teachers in Sheboygan County who are impacting the life’s of their students. To nominate a teacher, go to sheboygandaily.com/teachers.

Sheboygan’s Very Own

The Sheboygan Daily is seeking Sheboygan County residents who are Sheboygan’s Very Own. We’ll be featuring small business owners, volunteers, students and just any citizen who has a Sheboygan story to tell. Are you or someone you know making a difference? Do you have a story to tell? Let us know at sheboygandaily.com/veryown.

While SheboyganDaily.com offers completely free news and weather coverage, it is supported by local businesses who believe in local news. Unlike other news websites, we’ve made it our mission to ensure our website is as organized as it can be, including limiting advertising space.

However, not all of the advertising spots are filled and we rely on advertisers in order to continue our 24 hour news operations. If you or a business you know is looking for affordable advertising, click here to learn more information.

Finally, as we head into the new year, we want to hear from you! We are conducting Reader Experience Survey until the end of January. The purpose of the survey is to assess reader satisfaction and specifically to gain understanding of how readers access use our website. Please click here to take a moment to take our survey.
