
SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Police Department responded to a stabbing on the city’s south side Saturday afternoon that left a 41 year old man dead.
At about 4:15 PM, the Sheboygan Police received a report of a physical disturbance in the 1400 block of South 12th Street and found the man had been stabbed in the back.
When police arrived, they started CPR on the victim.
Police took a 21 year old suspect into custody and located the weapon.
According to scanner traffic, the incident also included a snow shovel. A vehicle was also parked oddly parked on South 12th Street.
The victim was transported by the Sheboygan Fire Department to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Flight for Life was called but did not transport the victim. According to police, the man later died at the hospital.
South 12th Street was closed at Georgia Avenue and Clara Avenue for several hours as police investigated.
The suspect is being held at the Sheboygan County Jail and police are requesting a charge of 2nd degree reckless homicide. Police say they are not releasing any details about what may have led to the stabbing or how many people were involved at this time.
Last August, officers responded to a stabbing near South 9th Street and Georgia Avenue where a drug deal had gone bad.
