NewsSHEBOYGAN — 14 year old Antonio Barbeau pleaded not guilty Thursday by mental disease or defect in the killing of his great-grandmother, Barbara Olson.

Barbeau also waived his right to a reverse-waiver hearing that could have had his case moved to juvenile court.

Barbeau and his friend, Nathan Paape, 14, are charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly killing Olson, 78, at her home in Sheboygan Falls on September 17 using a hammer and hatchet.

The boys are accused of ransacking Olson’s house and stealing money to buy marijuana and pizza.

A jury trial has been set in March for both boys who are currently being tried together.

They did not steal money “to buy marijuana and pizza.”

YOU imply that was their intent, and that they immediately went out to eat.

They (allegedly) used the money the NEXT DAY.

That is a different picture than you paint.

My intent is not to diminish the crime.

It is to illuminate your (and others’) irresponsible reporting, which has been perpetuated for months now.
