SHEBOYGAN — 14 year old Antonio Barbeau pleaded not guilty Thursday by mental disease or defect in the killing of his great-grandmother, Barbara Olson.
Barbeau also waived his right to a reverse-waiver hearing that could have had his case moved to juvenile court.
Barbeau and his friend, Nathan Paape, 14, are charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly killing Olson, 78, at her home in Sheboygan Falls on September 17 using a hammer and hatchet.
The boys are accused of ransacking Olson’s house and stealing money to buy marijuana and pizza.
A jury trial has been set in March for both boys who are currently being tried together.
