SHEBOYGAN — A Sheboygan man was formally charged in connection with a weekend stabbing in Sheboygan.
51 year old David Orvis was charged with felony aggravated battery for stabbing his roommate, 42 year old Ronald Hulbert.
According to the criminal complaint, Officer Brandon Kehoe was near the area of the Starbucks located at 1026 North 14th Street when his attention was drawn to a person moaning. He observed a person laying on the south side of the building of the Starbucks asking for help.
Hulbert stating that he was having a difficult time breathing. Officer Kehoe observed that there were injuries, including scratches on his forehead and both sides of his nose. His nose was bleeding profusely, as well as having a large scratch on the right side of his neck.
Sheboygan Police say Hulbert and Orvis had allegedly gotten into a fight in their apartment in at 1423 Erie Avenue when Orvis allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed it into Hulbert’s back.
Orvis was also charged misdemeanor battery and is facing up to 20 years in prison.
