PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Utilities reports that it experienced a water main break near the 200 block of North Bruns Avenue and made repairs to its water main Monday.

A 6-inch sized water main broke in the intersection of Bruns Avenue and Kensington Avenue. At 1:30 PM, water utility personnel began the task of shutting down the water system to a seven-block area in order to expose and make repairs. Customers affected included Fairview Elementary School. Repairs were made to the main and the water was turned back on by 3:15 PM.

Temporary street repairs followed allowing school bus traffic to be able to reach the school for the 3:45 PM dismissal time.
