Sheboygan County officials investigating auto thefts

SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating four auto thefts that were reported on July 15, July 27, August 23 and September 10.

The vehicles were stolen from locations just outside of the City of Sheboygan Falls, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake and the Village of Cascade. The first three were recovered abandoned in the City of Milwaukee. A 2003 Dodge Caravan red in color license plate 688HRM stolen in Cascade has not been located.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s office is also investigating 16 car entries from several areas of the county where credit and debit cards have been used in the City of Milwaukee. During one vehicle entry two (handguns were stolen. Nearly all of the vehicle entries and all of the stolen cars were left unlocked and the keys were left in the vehicles of all four stolen cars.

“The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is asking the citizens of Sheboygan County to take the keys and valuables out of their vehicles,” said Captain David Adams. “If a person is seen entering yours or another vehicle call your local law enforcement immediately.”
